We rehearse at St Mary’s Church Hall in West Kensington on Monday evenings during term time from 7.15pm to 9.30pm with a break for refreshments. All players are requested to bring a music stand and to arrive for 7pm so that we can set up and start on time. 

The autumn term begins on Monday 21st September and has 11 sessions before our concert on Sunday 6th December.

Originally built between 1894 and 1896, the church was designed by prominent architects Aston Webb and E. Ingress Bell. It features a distinct Grade II listed late-Victorian brick construction in the Perpendicular style.

Our spring term, which comprises 10 rehearsals, begins on Monday 11th January 2027 and runs until 22nd March with a break for half term on 15th February.

Our summer term begins on 19th April and runs for 10 sessions including the bank holiday on 3rd May until 28th June with a break for half term on 31st May. The summer concert will be on Sunday 4th July 2027.

St Mary’s is on the corner of Edith Road and Hammersmith Road and is a five-minute walk from Barons Court tube station on the Piccadilly and District lines and a 10 minute walk from Hammersmith bus/tube station and Kensington Olympia station (Overground Mildmay Line). Buses 9, 27 and 306 stop near the church on Hammersmith Road. While renovation works are being undertaken at Barons Court station, West Kensington (District Line) is another alternative.

The exact address is 2 Edith Road, West Kensington, London W14 9BA. Unfortunately St Mary’s have decided to significantly restrict parking in their car park and local on-street parking is restricted to a maximum of 90 minutes for non-residents. For those not able to come by public transport, we encourage car sharing. The rates payable to park in the church car park are prohibitively expensive so we cannot recommend that.
